To us, it’s not all about money – market research for charities and not-for-profit is about helping improve people’s lives and Jeni even runs her own charity! FSIP. We support the ‘third sector’ and social responsibility and are happy to offer our market research for charities on a reduced rate basis.
Not-for-profit and charitable organisations face many challenges in which good market research can provide you with real support and direction.
We can also provide concrete evidence of the value of your work and the benefits it provides to all concerned (and identify where improvements would improve its effectiveness).
For example, we’ve conducted research to evaluate a local charitable project that gives support to and treats offenders with severe alcohol addiction: the research found that the project is highly effective; reduces reoffending rates and thereby saves regional local health and social services huge amounts, as well as improving the lives of the offenders and all around them.
This independent evaluation has helped the charity to win further public sector contracts and to extend the scope and impact of their incredibly valuable work.
I am very pleased with the report and will be talking to the Trustees about how we can use it in our future marketing. Thank you for all your hard work and I’d be very happy to provide a reference if you’d like one.
On the basis of Step Beyond's research we made a number of fundamental changes to the way that we positioned our service, we changed and improved our communication and introduced an number of initiatives to better engage those who we come into contact with. A full website and re-branding exercise was also developed using the research outcomes.
